Information on data protection and consent
for job applicants

The protection of personal data is important for Sprecher Automation GmbH and its affiliated companies (hereafter collectively referred to as "Sprecher Automation"). Sprecher Automation processes personal data solely in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable national provisions regarding the protection of personal data and data security.


For which purpose will personal data be processed?

Personal data of job applicants will be processed for the following purpose within the scope of Sprecher Automation's activities:

  • Execution of the application process, e.g. based on an application for an advertised position, an unsolicited application, or an application as a trainee or as an apprentice.

We request your consent in order to execute the application process.


Which categories of personal data will be processed?

If necessary,  following categories of personal data will be processed in order to achieve the purpose stated above:

  • Contact information, e.g. first name and surname, birth name, title, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, material status, number of children, address, telephone number and e-mail address;
  • Professional career
  • Education and further training
  • Knowledge and capabilities
  • Other information, e.g. language skills, national service, driving licence

Personal data will be processed if necessary for the corresponding purpose or if they have been disclosed by job applicants.


What are the legal bases for processing personal data?

Legal basis for processing personal data is, if applicable:

  • Article 6 (1) a) GDPR consent to the processing for one or more specific purposes
  • Article 6 (1) b) GDPR in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract and/or performance of a contract
  • Article 6 (1) c) GDPR compliance with a legal obligation
  • Article 6 (1) f) GDPR to safeguard legitimate interests

In particular cases, a divergent legal basis may be required.


To whom will personal data be transmitted?

If necessary, personal data will be transmitted to affiliated companies of Sprecher Automation GmbH, to processors (e.g. IT service providers), as well as to third parties (e.g. authorities, legal advisers, courts) if this is permissible or required in order to fulfil a legal obligation.


How long will personal data be stored?

Personal data will be stored for a period of six months from job applicant's last update unless there are legal reasons for a longer storage period.


What are the rights for data subjects?

Data subjects have the right of access, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, to object, to automated individual decision-making, including profiling and a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, if any.

Sprecher Automation is not able to take an application into account or may no longer keep it evident if personal data are not provided or if Sprecher Automation is not allowed to process personal data.
