WEEE

Statement to the WEEE-directive

Marking of waste electrical and electronic equipment

According to the WEEE directive (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment), electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market after 13 August 2005 has to be marked. Thereby, the manufacturer must be clearly identifiable. Also it must be clearly identifiable that the equipment was placed on the market after that point of time. Electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market after 13 August 2005 has to be marked with a symbol (a crossed-out wheeled bin) by the manufacturer.

Disposal and recycling of Sprecher Automation products

Austria. All electrical systems and electronic equipment (which are subsystems of industrial applications) manufactured by Sprecher Automation are provided for industrial and commercial manners only.We therefore point out that the national WEEE regulations (EAG-VO BGBI. II, Nr. 121/2005 which are in compliance with the EU directive 2003/108/EG [RL2002/96/EG] WEEE - Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) are applied, i.e. elimination has to be accomplished according to the EGA-VO. The customer may dispose waste electrical and electronic equipment either at Sprecher Automation or at a different disposal contractor with costs. Gas-discharging lamps (fluorescent tubes) are excluded but may be directly delivered to a disposal contractor free of charge. Our product documentations and provided CD ROMs include all relevant information regarding disposal or substances restrictions and preventions.

EU member states. All electrical systems and electronic equipment (which are subsystems of industrial applications) manufactured by Sprecher Automation are provided for industrial and commercial manners only.

We therefore point out that the regulations of the respective member state, which are in compliance with the EU directive 2012/19/EU WEEE - Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment, are applied.

Furthermore, the prohibitions and preventions of certain hazardous substances according to EU-Directive 2011/65/EU RoHS „Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances must be considered.
Our product documentations and provided CD ROMs include all relevant information regarding disposal or substances restrictions and preventions.

Non EU member states. All electrical systems and electronic equipment (which are subsystems of industrial applications) manufactured by Sprecher Automation are provided for industrial and commercial manners only.
Therefore we point out that the national WEEE regulations of the respective country are relevant to waste disposal.
Furthermore possible national prohibitions and prevention of certain hazardous substances must be considered.
Our product documentations and provided CD ROMs include all relevant information regarding disposal or substances restrictions and preventions.

RoHS

Statement to the RoHS-directive

The RoHS (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances) directive, which became effective on 1 July 2006, prohibits to place products on the market that contain the following substances and substance groups:

  • lead
  • cadmium
  • chrome (VI)
  • mercury
  • poly-bromianted biphenyl (PBB) /
    poly-brominated diphenylether (PBDE)

Conversion to RoHS-compliant products

As an environmentally conscious company, Sprecher Automation manufactures its products as environmentally sound as possible. Though our products (control, protection and automation products) are not affected by the RoHS directive (class 9).

Sprecher Automation has already enforced conversion to environmentally sound materials and manufacturing technologies in good time.

Because certain components from prior developments can not be converted or no RoHS compliant approach is available, however, our liability to supply our customers with spare parts on a long term base may implicate certain impairments.

For Sprecher Automation this only applies for lead in plumbs for plated-through joints in electronic modules and boards.

For these specific modules the following disposal measures are applied:
