Which talents and interests do you need?

Enthusiasm for technology, electronics and physics, enjoyment of experimenting, manual dexterity, spatial awareness, self-discipline, ability to work in a team, independence, logical thinking, commitment, curiosity, perseverance, openness, friendliness, common sense.

What you learn as an electrical apprentice:

  • Setting up and commissioning systems for / maintaining and servicing systems for / locating and rectifying faults and malfunctions in power generation, transmission and distribution systems as well as in electrical machines and devices.
  • Installing, commissioning, testing, maintaining and servicing control and regulation systems as well as searching for and rectifying faults and malfunctions in these systems.
  • Carrying out work in compliance with the relevant safety regulations, norms, environmental and quality standards.

The apprenticeship period is 3.5 years and the subsequent compulsory period of further employment is 6 months.

Attendance at vocational school is in the form of a course of 10 weeks per class up to the 3rd year of apprenticeship and 5 weeks in the 4th year of apprenticeship. Our apprentices are taught at the vocational school in Gmunden.
