SPRECON Protection Devices
The digital SPRECON mains protection devices of the series: SPRECON-E-P D..4, SPRECON-E-P D..6-1 and the combined protection and control devices SPRECON-E-P D..6-2 are used for the protection of lines, cables, transformers and motors. The devices are designed for use in all important network and neutral point treatment types of the medium or high voltage level.
The SPRECON-E-P family of units includes:
- Protection devices
- Combined protection and control devices
- Converter-powered protection devices
- Earth fault direction relays (based on the wiper principle)
- Capacitor tripping device
The SPRECON-E-P D..6-2 series consists of combined protection and control devices which ensure the protection of electrical equipment and at the same time take over the control and monitoring tasks in electrical power systems. The multifunctional SPRECON-E-P D..6-2 devices are characterised by their consistent separation of the protection technology and control technology parts:
- Separate data models
- Separate control and protection firmware
- Separate control and protection system parameterisation
- Separate passwords
The devices convince with their modular design and maximum flexibility and scalability. Close cooperation with control equipment from different manufacturers is made possible by using standardised (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 60870-5-104) and proprietary protocols. All products are operated and parameterised with the user-friendly SPRECON-E COMM-3 protection operating programme.
