Electronic Laser Measuring Systems for Recording the Log Contour & Curvature
SPRESCAN 3D-L
SPRESCAN 3D-L are measuring systems that record the complete log contour in detail. From this data, characteristics such as centre, top and cane diameter, lignification, trunk length, curvature and ovality are calculated.
The systems each consist of 4 high-performance matrix cameras and 7 continuous wave lasers. The contour of the trunk is scanned using the light-sectioning method. Points in a Cartesian coordinate system are calculated from the raw camera data. This is based on a patented calibration procedure.
