Active, smart power grids will shape the energy supply landscape in the not-so-distant future. Especially in regional distribution, it is increasingly important to not only control and monitor the flow of energy to consumers, but also to manage the other direction. More and more small feeders that are distributed over a wide geographic area impact the grid and make it unstable.
With the right technology and well-thought-out concepts, however, this challenge can be overcome. Sprecher Automation fields the entire SPRECON-E line-up. The interaction of NCC/SCADA systems, telecontrol, station control, power plant control and grid protection creates a smart overall system based on open and standardised interfaces (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104/-103/-101, SML, DLMS etc.).
We can also couple systems and devices from other manufacturers (e.g., measuring devices, meters, controllers...) as well as consumers and producers, regardless of whether it's a private photovoltaic system, combined heat and power plant or wind turbine.
