Confidentiality Classes – Traffic Light Protocol (TLP)
At Sprecher Automation, we take information security very seriously, especially the protection of confidential information. Therefore, we have integrated the FIRST-Standard Traffic Light Protocol (TLP) into our classification system throughout the company. This standard is a simple and easy-to-understand method for classifying and labelling information. This makes it possible to see at a glance which confidentiality class is to be applied, to whom this information is addressed and, in particular, with whom it may be shared.
The TLP standard differentiates between the classifications TLP:RED, TLP:AMBER or TLP:AMBER-STRICT, TLP:GREEN and TLP:CLEAR. We have decided on a dual classification so that the new designation for the classification is as simple and transparent as possible for everyone involved:
intended only for the selected recipients; transmission is prohibited
only for certain recipients or recipient groups; conditional forwarding within the organisation allowed (only on a need-to-know basis)
only for certain recipients or recipient groups, conditional disclosure within the organisation and to external parties (e.g. customers) allowed (solely on a need-to-know basis)
only for certain recipients or recipient groups, conditional disclosure within parties/groups of persons with a legitimate interest. Publication in all publicly accessible channels is not permitted.
no restrictions, the recipients may pass on the document without restriction
INFORMATION SECURITY IS AN ISSUE FOR ALL OF US
You are welcome to label your information according to our scheme or purely according to TLP before you transfer it to Sprecher Automation. By doing so, you actively support the issues of information security and data protection.
